On the long facade of the building facing the garden court, Meière designed a mural of The Picnic, with figures painted by Rambusch in rubber base paint. The mural measured fourteen feet high by one hundred ten feet in length. It depicted people actively engaged in various leisure activities from enjoying a picnic to hiking, fishing, dancing, and playing baseball.
